How it differs from reinforced concrete
In a fibreglass pool the shell is moulded in one piece at the factory; no shell is cast on site. Construction is therefore noticeably shorter — there is no concrete cure and no waiting to strike formwork.
What happens on site
After excavation and ground preparation the shell is lowered into place by crane, levelled, and backfilled in stages. Plumbing connections, coping and the surrounding landscaping follow.
What to check on site
Because the shell arrives in one piece, the site needs crane and lorry access. A narrow street, a low power line or a garden entrance that cannot be passed can rule this method out; we look at access first during the survey.
Dimensions are limited by the mould. If the pool has to be a size or shape you define yourself, reinforced concrete is the better fit.
Services and maintenance
Even though the shell arrives ready, filtration and disinfection are still installed separately; water treatment is essential to keep the water clean. Maintenance and chemical support continue after handover.
