Pool equipment

Filtration, disinfection, heating and automation equipment.

Filtration

Pump and filter are the core of the system. Pump flow and filter surface are selected from pool volume: the whole body of water has to pass through the filter within a set period. An undersized system cannot keep the water clear even if it runs continuously.

Disinfection

Chlorine, or a salt chlorine generator. A salt system produces chlorine within the water itself, which reduces the handling and storage of chemicals — but the system still works with chlorine; it does not mean a chlorine-free pool.

Heating

Pool heating can be installed. The cost varies with the size of the pool: as the volume of water to be heated grows, both the equipment capacity and the running cost rise. A cover reduces heat loss appreciably.

Automation and lighting

Filtration hours, dosing and lighting can be managed from a panel or a phone. Underwater lighting is the cheapest item that changes how the pool looks in the evening.

Selection

Equipment is not selected independently of the pool. Volume, intensity of use, and whether the pool is indoor or outdoor are the three things that determine the right unit.
