How the work proceeds
We begin with a ground survey: the bearing capacity of the ground and the water conditions directly determine the reinforcement calculation for the shell. Design follows, then excavation, steel and formwork, pouring the reinforced concrete shell, waterproofing, lining, plumbing and finally commissioning.
As long as the weather causes no delays, the process is completed in about one month. Rain and frost directly affect concrete pouring and waterproofing, so the schedule depends on weather conditions.
Space required
A reinforced concrete pool needs at least 40 square metres. That area covers not only the pool itself but also the circulation space around it and the room for the plant.
The crew
The work on site is done by our own team: four people in structural works, four in finishing and a permanent two-person plumbing crew. We do not hand the work down a subcontractor chain; the same crew stays on site from excavation to commissioning. Since 1996 we have completed 450 turnkey pools.
Permits
Pool construction requires a permit. You can follow the process yourself, or we can handle it for you.
What determines the price
The price depends on three things: the materials used, the pool's area and its dimensions. A figure given before those three are known is only a guess, which is why we discuss dimensions and expectations before quoting.
Payment
A deposit is taken at the start; the balance is paid in instalments as the work progresses.
After handover
Maintenance and chemical support continue after the pool is handed over. A water treatment system is essential to keep the water clean, and maintenance has to be carried out regularly. A guarantee is provided as long as the conditions of use are followed.
