Pool maintenance

Regular maintenance of existing pools; maintenance and chemical support continue for the pools we deliver.

What it covers

Regular maintenance means measuring and correcting the water balance, backwashing the filter, cleaning the skimmer and pump strainer, and dosing the chemicals needed. The surface and floor of the pool are cleaned.

Water balance

Clarity comes from balance, not from disinfectant alone. When pH drifts out of range chlorine loses its effect; adding more chemical at that point does not solve the problem, it only raises the cost.

Treatment is essential

A water treatment system is absolutely required to keep the water clean. Even a correctly specified system still needs its maintenance done on schedule.

What happens in winter

If the pool is to look right through winter as well, the system has to run for set periods and maintenance has to continue. A pool left untouched all winter stays dirty and may need a deep clean at the start of the season.

Existing pools

Our maintenance service is not limited to pools we built; we maintain existing pools as well. On the pools we hand over, maintenance and chemical support continue as a matter of course.
